Christmas Eve

Tonight we had a Christmas Eve service at church where Ed played the mandolin for the very first time in a worship service. The music was awesome (and not just because he was up there), and the message was perfect. We do in fact serve a gracious, generous and loving God!

After the service our precious friends, Fred and Marsha, invited us over for Christmas Eve supper - clam chowder, salad, vino, and booty bread! How funny is this? We got quite a laugh out of this one - and the bread was very tasty! Our time was very special tonight. We lit the advent wreath, prayed over supper, shared some laughs (Ok, many laughs!), and shared favorite Christmas memories. A very special time!

Marsha Lang's famous booty bread - apparently a Christmas tradition?? =)
Marsha, me, and their sweet friend Karen (our new friend)
Hobo, Ed(ward), and Fred(ward)

Our non-blood family - like it or not I think the Lang's are stuck with us! Our time with them tonight was very special and we are headed over there tomorrow to spend Christmas afternoon with their whole family. Again, they are all so gracious to let us join in their holiday and we appreciate it more than words can say. More pictures tomorrow for Christmas!

Merry Christmas - early!!!!
