today i am grateful for those that have served and currently serve in the military. i am humbled by and in awe of their sacrafice. i am reading "Unbroken" (click on the name to see the book) and granted it is one man's story but i know along with this are thousand and thousands of other stories. i'm so sad for these men, and women, and what they had/have to go through - through suffering and loss and missing their family members who are currently serving. i have no idea what this is like.
my words are not doing anything or anyone justice. but i am humbled and grateful - SO grateful - for the men and women who have served and are currently serving (my cousin included who is currently overseas on his 4th tour of duty).
thank you just is not enough. my heart is overflowing with gratitude and i will never truly or fully know all they have done for my freedom.
