so here is the proof that audrey did in fact turn one, that she did in fact have a birthday party, and that she did in fact enjoy the fire out of her cupcake (as the picture at the top shows). drum roll please.........................
very fast photo's b/c she was not having anything on top of her head.......period...........
we had lots of food, so i thought. turns out we had just enough! last week i was jotting down the names of ppl that came to her birthday party for her little journal - 38 people were here to celebrate her big day!! what a blessing and how humbling!!! she even had out of town guests!! :)
these were the little party favors - cake lolly's!! ed was such a trooper and helped me make these - i think we probably made over 75 - everyone couldn't go home with just one. that would be wrong, right? :)
ed picked this dress out for her - it is so cute and makes her look like a little irish baby with that reddish hair, light skin and blue eyes. i promise she's mine - i promise!!!
this is true love.....bill, our neighbor, graciously took "lou duty" during the party. even with his little bells he was bound to be stepped on, and he was quite skiddish with all of the faces in his house at one time. bill was so sweet to hold him pretty much the entire time.
AND NOW, THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.................
and it begins...... at first she didn't like the icing on her hands (a girl after her daddy's own heart), but once she got a taste of the yummy goodness a cupcake has to offer it was time to dig in!! just look at these hands:
let the feasting begin!
and the end result?
all.......over.......the........face
and hair
and shirt
and IN the shirt
and on the chair
but BOY did she enjoy that cupcake!!!!
her buddy rowan was trying to enjoy some of the icing off of her face.
all in all it was such a sweet time - some of the family even came up which was SO special!!! a time we will not soon forget!! thank you, Lord, for this precious little girl who knocks our socks off every single day. who knew you could fall in love with such a little person so much - our hearts can't get enough of her.
