happy easter!!! (get ready cuz this is a long one)

it was a wild and wooly weekend and SO much fun to have family around! we needed that shot in the arm!!
friday we went to eckerts in belleville, il so ava could do the easter egg hunt - she and i made it right as they released the children to search - sadly she only came away with a few eggs, but the easter bunny knew she was going to be in st louis and TOTALLY made up for it!

then, of course, there was the bunny and chick part. ava wanted nothing to do with the chicks but wanted to bring the bunny home with her. i asked what her little dog, chloe, would think of that - she quickly told me she would put it in a cage. i told her i didn't think the bunny would like being put in a cage after being free at the farm to which she told me chloe would be in the cage, not the bunny. she and chloe have a love/hate relationship. my sister got a good laugh out of it.

another first for our sweet audrey - first time in a pool!!!!! chardel, brent and ava stayed at a hotel near our house. ava is a little fish so they were taking her swimming on saturday afternoon - it's an itty bitty pool but she loved it! we thought it would be a great way to introduce miss aud to chlorine, i mean the pool!!!

SO much fun!!! and even though the water was freezing audrey loved it! can't wait to get her out this summer - with LOADS of sunscreen, of course!! i still can't get over that fair skin, light hair and blue eyes!

and easter morning.......

audrey's easter basket - another fun toy that she loves!! and 2 cute little outfits!

then we were off to the zoo - audrey's first visit to the zoo. as you can imagine ed was on cloud 9!!

my parents took ava to the build-a-bear at the zoo and they also made one for audrey. ava picked out the clothes and accessories for her little rabbit. my sister went in and made one for audrey, too.

there's no crying on easter!! unless your mom is picking at you and you are tired from a long day at the zoo. :)
