thankful day 10

today i am thankful for my sweet friend, tracey. i met tracey 4 years ago when we moved to st louis. the seminary offered a small group book study for wives of seminary students. i'm a bit of an introvert - ed is the outgoing one between us - so it was a pretty big deal for me to go to this book study where i wouldn't know a soul. i think it was after the first meeting that tracey called and asked if i wanted to have lunch and go shopping with her. we've been friends ever since and we are blessed b/c our husbands have also become close friends over the years (it's always nice when everyone can get along, huh?). david and tracey have been amazing friends to us - loving us through some of the hardest and sweetest times of our lives. their love, encouragement and support have been deep and true. we are beyond blessed to call them friends.


i was having a little bit of a hard day yesterday - missing my little girl, wondering what was going to happen as far as a job for ed, how it was all going to play out, missing family........you get the jist. it's 430pm, i look up from the computer and there is my sweet friend walking through the door with flowers and a hot apple pie from mcdonalds. i just got tears in my eyes. tracey has always been incredibly thoughtful towards me. she is a great listener and is the most tender hearted person i think i've ever met. she has been a sweet, sweet friend.
