we were so excited to have time with ed's family this wknd in gadsden (alabama, for those who aren't familiar). his brother and his family came up from rome (georgia) so we were able to play and be together all day saturday. we haven't seen most of them since last october and we could not get over how much the kiddos had grown!! i'm afraid the next time we see them they will be taller than us! we had so much fun being with everyone.
saturday morning was a blueberry pancake breakfast that nana and the kids made for everyone.

gadsden
the kids had prepared a play for all of us so after breakfast was show time. it was a cute little play that included a witch (garrison), buttercup (anabelle), mrs. buttercup (madi) and the narrator (mary jane). it was so cute!
we spent the afternoon playing at the pool. it was a great day - the sun was shining (for the most part) and we all were able to play and relax and visit. a good portion of the group had to show off on the diving board, too.
we had dinner together that evening before talley and anna and the kids had to leave. we absolutely loved our time with everyone and we are so grateful it worked out for us to go home for a quick wknd trip so we could get our family "fix". we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are exactly where we are supposed to be - but we still miss our families desperately!!
thank you EVERYONE for a great, great wknd! we enjoyed the time with all of you and look forward to seeing everyone again (for a bit longer than 24 hours, maybe!)!! love you ALL!!
