ode to ed

although our family consists of 2 humans, a dog and a cat right now i still try to celebrate ed as a father to the boys b/c he is! and i absolutely cannot wait for the day he has a human child to celebrate him, too!! he is a wonderful man and will be a fantastic father (he already is to tuckett and tate!)!! i am SO blessed!
ed chose to spend the day at grants farm this year (the post below), which was a lot of fun. i told him he got to choose supper, which he requested chicken pizza (he's so easy!!), and i made a large bowl of banana pudding for him for dessert. it was so much fun doing things that bring a smile to his face. i just love it! isn't that the same picture of Christ with us - i can't imagine the smile on His face when he provides something that we just delight in, get giddy about, something that fixes the permagrin on our face all day long. and He does delight in seeing us happy and giving us the desires of our hearts. it's amazing and it's humbling.
ed, you are my absolute favorite person in the whole wide world. i love you more than you know and i feel blessed to be your wife. you are an amazing husband, friend, and father (to our boys). today we celebrate you!
