(we didn't have our camera - i know, hard to believe - so we had to settle for ed's phone to capture the moment. still looks pretty good, though, for a phone!)
last night from 5pm-10pm baskin robbins had 31 cent scoops to support the fallen firefighters. i LOVE baskin robbins. let me say that again.....i LOVE baskin robbins! i was so excited to see the email yesterday and immediately told ed we would be making our way to the nearest location to enjoy a 31 cent scoop (or 2). when we got there the line was quite long, a little frustrating for ed but just part of the fun for me. the langs were awesome and came out at the last minute to join us. we just thoroughly enjoyed our time with them while we waited in the hour long line. the we finally made it inside the store and i was just all smiles, my eyes about to pop out of my head. i was so stinkin' excited about this ice cream. baskin robbins makes me think of childhood and going to get ice cream with my parents and grandparents as a youngster, of free ice cream when i was older and had friends working there :), and now i have a beautiful st. louis memory to go along. me and ed and our sweet friends and many other st. louisans, waiting patiently in line in the beautiful weather, taste buds preparing for the yumminess waiting inside the little store at a steal of a price - it just turned out to be such a fun night!
thank you, langs, for coming out with no notice and being a part of the evening!!
