spring is here - praise God!!!!

seriously, today we welcomed spring. it finally came! it was GORGEOUS today - blue sky, flowers in bloom, everyone and their brother (or sister) out with their kids (or dogs). it was wonderful! that is one thing i definitely appreciate about st. louis. just give them a hint of spring and everyone is out enjoying it. walking around the neighborhood, up at the park for little girls softball practice, flying kites, walking their dogs, windows open enjoying the fresh air, flowers blooming, birds everywhere. it's like everyone got the memo - it's finally here so come out and enjoy it! take it all in! we went on a family walk when i got home from work.....not the whole family, of course, b/c tuckett wouldn't do well on a leash, or handle the outdoors and all the noise and dogs and people...it would be overload for the poor boy. so technically part of the family went on a walk when i got home. met some new friends, which is always fun......
played frisbee for a little bit........... then we visited a few old friends on our way home.......then we made our way home........and saw dulce with her purple tulips and david and max on the way in.......... what a great afternoon - and all of this activity in an hours time! who could ask for anything more!

thank you Lord for the spring and everything that comes with it. isn't it funny that when spring comes you just start to feel a little more lively, more aware of everything and everyone around you? i'm so glad it's here. we've been waiting for you, spring!
