Spring Sunday

this wknd was awesome! it felt like spring had sprung. then monday came with its 30 degree temperatures, and tonight we have 10 inches of snow. is there something wrong with that picture??

we had planned to go to the botanical gardens on saturday BUT my stomach said otherwise. so my sweet husband brought me tulips saying if we couldn't make it to the gardens he would bring a little of the garden to me! what a sweetheart this man is! i can tell you i absolutely adore this man (and not just for the tulips he brings me)!

sunday was supposed to be warmer but rainy, however God was gracious to us and it was absolutely gorgeous on sunday so we were able to go to the gardens after all. it was a st. louis first for us (it's taken us 2 1/2 years to get there but we finally made it). honestly there wasn't a lot outside, with it being the middle of winter and all, but they had other displays indoors that were amazing, including an orchid show that was so neat. we took SO many pictures while we were there - i'll just share a few because i'm sure you're thinking if you've seen one orchid you've seen them all (though i beg to differ, now that i've seen so many). it was really a beautiful exhibit, though, and i'm so glad we went. it was such the breath of fresh air that we needed.

so they aren't all orchids but i wanted to share a few of my favorites. i love the little alien flower at the end. we can't wait to go back in the summer!
