This is my cousin, Mark Kidwell, an Army Ranger who was just deployed to Iraq a few weeks ago. We knew we were proud of him before he left but knowing the danger he faces over there and the sacrafice he is making for our country has just been overwhelming to me and to Ed lately. We know we appreciate what those serving our country do for us everyday - I feel a little bad that it takes one of my own family members being deployed to really drive it home, though. We are trying to keep up with him by email, even though we did a poor job of that before he left. We hope it's somewhat encouraging to receive emails from home (or family, at least) while he is so far away. We are praying for him and his safety, of course, but also that the Lord would use him in mighty ways with the people he works with on a daily basis, both in the military and the people in Iraq. He is a wonderful young man and has a huge heart! We know he is doing well!
